DESCRIPTION:This November\, join Jaime as we paint some quintessential fall masterpieces! Stay tuned to see what the painting will be for this Brushes and Brews event at Lakeview Taproom! \nBrushes and Brews is a two hour painting workshop where Jaime from The Jaime Elaine Creative will walk you through an entire painting from start to finish. No painting experience is necessary\, as Jaime caters her pace and instructions to the group of students she has in the room. Variations are always given so that each artist can put their own personal spin on a painting\, and every participant gets to go home with a hand-made creation of their own! All painting supplies are included\, and paintings are done on 11×14 stretched canvas. Class is limited to 12 participants\, so get your tickets in advance! \nLakeview Taproom is a local Chicago bar that serves a hyper-local and ever-changing selection of craft beers for every palette. Come enjoy their beer selection as you paint just 10 minutes away from Wrigley field! They also serve wine and spirits\, as well as non-alcoholic options for those who do not want beer. \nTickets are $30 in advanced and $25 each when you sign up with a friend. \nClasses are every other Tuesday from 6-8 pm. SUMMARY:Virtual Paint Party!
DESCRIPTION:Join Jaime from the Jaime Elaine Creative from the comfort of your home for an afternoon of painting on Zoom! \nEach month\, Jaime will lead a painting class through a different painting designed by her with the help of you! Typically paintings will involve flowers–as that is Jaime’s favorite thing to paint!–but not always. No prior painting experience is necessary\, and Jaime loves to give options for variation so everyone can add their own personal twist to each painting. You will walk away from this event with a masterpiece!! \nEach participant is responsible for providing their own painting supplies.  \nThese include: \n\n Brushes\n\nAt least one small round and one small to medium square brush as well as one larger brush\n\n\nAcrylic paints \n\nJust the primary colors are necessary\, as Jaime will walk participants through mixing the colors needed for each painting\, but other colors are welcome if you’d like. Jaime will provide a list of paint colors needed before each class.\n\n\nCanvas or painting surface\n\nJaime typically teaches on 9×12 paper or canvas sheet\, or 11×14 stretched canvas\, but the size is artist’s choice\n\n\nPalette/plate\n\nSomewhere to pour and mix your colors\n\n\nCup for water\nPaper towel or wash cloth\n\nSomething you don’t mind getting stained with paint\n\n\nPaint shirt\n\nOr wear something you don’t want to get dirty because acrylic paint does stain clothes\n\n\nOptional easel or canvas stand\n\nThis is not necessary\, it is perfectly fine to paint flat on your table (but maybe put a towel or newspaper down underneath!)
